News and Updates
First off, I added some new and updated concept art to the following character concept pages: Mr. Vritra, Maia Avanti, and Shelby Bly. The first two are updated renders while I added three or four new outfit renders for Shelby. I also added new concept art posts for the logos for Wander Magazine, GEEVA, and the Vril Society. I’ll next be creating some location concept art and will be adding it to this website as soon as it is finished.
Yesterday (January 27) I finished the Story Draft #5 after a sleepless night of marathon typing. Also yesterday, I sent the draft to two of my dearest friends for them to look over and give me suggestions on how to improve it. I’m now waiting to hear back though I told both of them there was no rush. Depending on what they say, I may or may not work on a Story Draft #6 which means that #5 might be the final draft.
In the meantime, I decided to go through the current story draft and write up a “character call sheet” of all the unique character files I’ll need to populate the novel. This includes unique characters and repeat characters with different outfits which will each be save as their own individual character file. After I completed the call sheet I realized I am going to need about 139 character files!! (I’m going to need a bigger hard drive!) I’ve got the main concepts finalized but there’s so many more that need to be created before I’m ready to illustrate… I’ll get it all done in good time though. 🙂
While I wait for some new renders to finish, I am currently brainstorming ideas for a possible sequel to the novel. Even though I packed a lot into the current story, I think there is more story to be told with these characters and so, a sequel. So far I have about four pages of ideas plus a very rough half-complete outline for a first story draft. I’ll keep you updated on its progress as well.
That’s all for now, please stay tuned for more news in the coming days and weeks. I plan on releasing more concept art and some promotional art very soon. I will also keep you up to date on the status of the story and when I am able to begin creating storyboards and page layouts (the steps to be done before illustrating can begin). Thank you for your continued support!
